BECCA Skin Perfecting Makeup System - Colour Matching Guide
This colour guide has been developed to help you find your colours in BECCA's Skin Perfecting Makeup System: Luminous Skin Colour, Stick Foundation, Compact Concealer and Fine Loose Finishing Powder.
When choosing a colour it is important to consider both the obvious skin tones as well as the distinctive undertones (i.e. the colour that seems to come from under the skin's surface). Therefore choose a colour that best matches the basic colour of the skin, but also make sure the undertones of the foundation, concealer or powder (yellow, pink, red) match those of the actual skin.
Undertones:
- 'Pink' indicates that the colour has obvious pink-based undertones
- 'Yellow' indicates that the colour has obvious yellow/golden-based undertones
- 'Neutral' indicates that neither pink/red nor yellow/golden undertones dominate the colour
- 'Warm' indicates that orange/red undertones dominate the colour
Never try to add colour to the face by choosing foundation or powder that is darker than the skin, as the result will look unnatural and dirty. Colour should be added with blush and bronzers. The correct loose and pressed powder colour is generally lighter than you may expect. It needs to be light enough so that it does not darken the foundation once applied.

I'm seriously considering trying it !!
Primer
Luminous Skin Colour
Concealer
Foundation
Powder
Or can they be used seperately?
Can anyone help me? Thanks!
Would just the Luminous Skin Colour give a sheer foundation type coverage?
Thanks Vee!
Mmm, not sure sure. Possibly... maybe ask lou :chuckle:
LSC is like a tinted moisturiser. So you don't HAVE to use foundation over it if you're happy with a sheer coverage; you can just use concealer in any spots where you need it.
Oh, totally! So jealous of Miss Emmy's beautiful skin!
And you missy!!!!
Can I take you up on this offer Lou? :chuckle:
I am really impressed with Becca makeup and next year I would love to play up my features and skin more by embracing more makeup other than my very minimalist look. So to start with would love to find a good quality base. I like the look of Becca's colour system - heaps to try from! I am just wondering if I need all 5 products (primer, LSC, foundation, concealor and powder)???
Could u pls explain all the steps in the system? Am I able to pick and choose what I want (i.e I would be very happy just to have the LSC and perhaps powder. would the LSC give a lovely light finish, not too heavy on my skin, but I could like i was wearing something?)
I tend to like a matte finish moreso than a dewy one too.
Thanks so much Lou! :heartbeat:
I don't use the foundation stick unless it's like an event or I am going to be presenting. Otherwise I use primer (I actually use the SIlky Hydrating), LSC, a bit of concealer, then loose powder.
So almost every day I just use the LSC and a bit of concealer under the eyes, I don't use it anywhere else and for me it's enough, and I'm someone who doesn't like tinted moisterisers cos O don't feel like that do anything.
I think for yourself, the LSC and the loose powder would be the ideal start...I actually think using a foundation brush would give you a great finish as well and this way also only apply it where you need and not all over. Finish with a light dusting of the loose powder and you're done! I then dab a teeny bit of the SSP on my upper cheek boneand around to the brow and dab on some Beach tint on the apples and lightly blend out. A bit or Orgasm over this is a fave of mine to do.
Oh - consdiering how often I use my loose powder and LSC and how much you would - it would last you agessssssssssssss too.
I wouldn't bother with the others at all probably, especially atm.
