Kevin Murphy rocks hair at Melbourne Fashion Week

Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MMSFW) burst into Melbourne last week and brought with it a sea of sexy looks and brilliant, bright colours. Australia's hottest designers showcased their looks for Spring/Summer and Australian celebrity hair stylist, Kevin Murphy , set the coming trends for hair.
Surrounded by a team of 60 talented stylists and using his own range of styling products , four time Hair Director, Kevin Murphy, created a different and distinctive hair style each night.
The first runway show, Hot In The City, opened with an 80’s Miami Beach flavour. Designers Bettina Liano, Clemente Talarico, Flamingo Sands, Flux, Leopold and White Suede showcased tight pants, high hemlines and Summer dresses. In keeping with the sexy, sophisticated vibe, hair was inspired by old style Hollywood glamour girls Marilyn Monroe and Veronica Lake.
The second show, Style Wars, featured some of Australia’s most creative designers: Claude Maus, Alpha 60, TV, Material Boy, Romance Was Born, Freidrich Gray and Kate Hurst. For this parade, Kevin Murphy created “space age’’ hair to complement the innovative clothing and electric styles; models looked sleek and cyber-inspired, with a touch of fantasy.
A more refined and sophisticated elegance was evident in the Looking Glass show. Classic pieces and beautiful creations from designers Anna Thomas, Aurelio Costarella, Christine, Husk, Jayson Brunsdon and Nevenka proved glamour never goes out of style. Hair was feminine and sophisticated, inspired by the sleek and alluring French styles of the 1950s.
Beauty and seduction took centre stage in the final runway parade, Object of Desire. Alice McCall, Gorman, Jessie Hill, Kirrily Johnson, LIFEwithBIRD and Shakuhachi previewed collections that were gorgeous and classic, defining striking trends for the Summer season. Hair was inspired by a 1970s glossy magazine shoot - straight and defined but with more bounce and softness than seen in modern styling. Get your Kevin Murphy haircare here at Adore Beauty
